What does this look like in use?
Step 1) Grab feelings wheel and identify what your kid and you are feeling
Step 2) Journal or draw how you both are feeling
Step 3) Use the 'comfort cycle' to help uncover the 'root cause' of behavioral situation is. Then reflect on this with the drawing.
Step 4) Pray and hug!
The 'key' with this kit is to help you de-escalate to the point where you both are able to have a constructive conversation. Also not do what most parents do and even experts might do which is redirect.
GOAL - to be more 'relational' in your approach to behavioral situations.
Your kid or the adults are simply trying to 'reach out' for someone to understand them. My wife and I often use this method to help us 'seek to understand' each other. And it gives you the ability to use other resources, like books, to help guide more in-depth conversations.
